The key performance indicators (KPIs) are crucial to the achievement of the organisation’s vision or business objectives.  Each staff member must have their own KPIs that are aligned with the organisation’s goals and vision.

A review is also a perfect opportunity to check the job description and the roles and responsibilities. Many unhappy or disengaged employees are working with a job description that is out of date, and that does not adequately reflect their duties.  With an annual check, you can avoid this problem.  In addition, everyone’s job description is a pointer on the roadmap that leads the organisation towards achievement of the vision or business objectives.  The review gives you a great opportunity to ensure the job descriptions are fit for purpose.
